In line with the General Data Protection Regulations, as of 25th May 2018, we are required to set out what data we hold on our clients, why we hold it, what we do with it, and what your rights are.
What Data We Hold and Why
We collect your data when you engage with us, either via a contact form you submitted on our website, an email sent to us, or via a phone conversation. We store your name, billing address, phone number and email address in order provide you with the services and products you have requested. We will need to visit your home or premises in order to provide you with an estimate. We will send you an email with written details of the estimate. We may phone you to discuss your requirement. We do not store any financial or sensitive information about you. Our website uses Google Analytics cookies, to track performance, which do not provide any personally identifiable information about you. You are able to manage how your web browser utilises cookies.
What We Do, And Don’t Do, With Your Data
Your data is stored securely and processed in order to provide you with any information you request, quotes and invoices as required. We do not sell, lease or share your data with any third party other than service providers acting as processors or hosts who provide IT and system administration services and service agents for support and delivery companies for the transportation of products. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes.
Your data is stored in the UK. We will use your data in order to communicate with you on the basis of having a legitimate interest to do so. There may also be a reason to process your data for the purposes of the performance of a contract with you. We’ll store your data for a period appropriate to it’s use. By law we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for 6 years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.
What Are Your Rights
You have a right to request a copy of the data we store (provided to you at no cost and within 30 days), a right to correct any errors in the data we store, and a right to request for your data to be deleted. You also have a right to object to our processing of your data on the basis of legitimate interest and withdraw your consent, where consent has previously been given. If we send you something via email, and you object (invoices don’t count!), let us know and we’ll update our records. We don’t like to be spammed, so we don’t intend on spamming you.
